Short CV

Dr. Mikhail Shestakov had received his Masters degree (Chemistry) at Lomonosov Moscow State University (Moscow, Russia) in 2012. He continued his education at the Department of Physics and Astronomy of KU Leuven (Leuven, Belgium) where he earned his PhD degree (Physics) in 2016. His PhD thesis was devoted to investigation of optical properties of Ag nanoclusters and Rare-Earths doped oxyfluoride glasses. Further, Mikhail was working as post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Chemistry at KU Leuven for 1 year where he was conducting Quantum Chemistry calculations of optical properties and Jan-Teller effect in rare-earth complexes and magnetic materials with orbital ordering, respectively. Currently, he is a project leader in the field of Quantum Optics at  the Centre for Disruptive Photonic Technologies at Nanyang Technological University (Singapore).
