Super-oscillatory sub-diffraction focusing and imaging

Short CV

Dr. Yuan received his PhD from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2007. After one-year of post-doctoral research in the Physics department in USTC, he joined the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering in Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and worked for four years as a Research Fellow on vector optical beams and plasmonics for super-resolution imaging. Since 2012, he is working as a Project Leader at the Centre for Disruptive Photonic Technologies (CDPT) at NTU, focussing on fiberized super-oscillatory nanoscope for bio-imaging and nanofabrication. He is currently appointed as a Senior Research Fellow at CDPT. His research interests lie in development of far-field super-resolution imaging devices using plasmonic and dielectric metasurface based planar optical lenses for applications in nanophotonics and quantum optics.
